Orange Chocolate Sorbet
This recipe is free of the common eight food allergens: Wheat/Gluten, Eggs, Soy, Milk, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Fish, Shellfish. It is also free of corn, sugar, and alcohol.
A sophisticated frozen treat with a creamy texture and a taste to satisfy an adult palette.
Ingredients
2-1/2 cups water
1 large orange
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup agave syrup
1 teaspoon arrowroot powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions
Peel orange leaving most of the white pith in tact, retain 1/3 of the peel and discard the rest. Chop the orange into 8 pieces and put in food processor or blender with the remaining ingredients. Puree until smooth. Refrigerate overnight. Stir mixture since it will have slightly gelled. Make according to your ice cream maker manufacturer’s instructions. Serve without delay. This can be stored in the freezer. Slightly thaw before serving.
