Mulled Apple Cider
This recipe is free of the common eight food allergens: Wheat/Gluten, Eggs, Soy, Milk, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Fish, Shellfish. It is also free of corn, sugar, and alcohol.
Making this apple cider fresh can maintain a higher level of nutrition and help you steer clear of preservatives.
Ingredients
1 pound red sweet apples, approximately 4 small or 3 medium
2-1/2 cups water
2 tablespoons honey or to taste
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/4 teaspoon allspice powder
1/8 teaspoon clove powder
pinch sea salt
Directions
Put all ingredients into blender. Puree until smooth. Transfer to a saucepan, heat to boiling. Cover and let sit for 10 minutes before serving to blend flavors.
Yields approximately 4-1/2 cups
