Beef Broth
This recipe is free of the common eight food allergens: Wheat/Gluten, Eggs, Soy, Milk, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Fish, Shellfish. It is also free of corn, sugar, and alcohol.
Beef broth is an essential ingredient in many recipes. You can be assured that yours will be allergen-free. This is easily made and can be stored in the freezer.
Ingredients
2 pounds beef bones, preferable leg bone due to marrow content
12 cups water
2 bay leaves
2 teaspoons peppercorns
1 teaspoon sea salt
Directions
Rinse bones. Place all ingredients into a large pot. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce to a slow simmer. Simmer for 3 hours to extract all the marrow. Allow to cool. Remove bones, bay leaves, and peppercorns. Skim fat if desired. Place in containers and then freeze. Be sure to leave room at the top of containers for expansion of liquid as it freezes.
