Apple Brown Betty Sorbet
This recipe is free of the common eight food allergens: Wheat/Gluten, Eggs, Soy, Milk, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Fish, Shellfish. It is also free of corn, sugar, and alcohol.

Ingredients
2 cups water
2 tablespoons gluten-free oatmeal, instant or rolled oats
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup applebutter
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon allspice
1/8 teaspoon ginger
1/8 cinnamon
1-1/2 teaspoons arrowroot starch
dash clove
Directions
Bring water to a boil, add oatmeal and salt. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Let this mixture cool slightly and transfer to blender. Add applebutter and lemon juice. Pulse a few times to mix. Set blender to highest speed and slowly add the spices and arrowroot in small amounts to avoid clumping. Cool in refrigerator over night and make according to your ice cream maker manufacturer's directions.
Yields approximately 1-1/2 pints
